IIT – IIT stands for Indian Institutes of Technology. They are the most prestigious engineering institutes situated across various states. They are globally recognized institutes known for their quality education and amazing facilities. They are famous for creating the best engineers in the entire world. Every single student who dreams to be an engineer wants to do his engineering at IIT.  And to make their dreams into reality, they have to clear the JEE. 

JEE – JEE stands for Joint Entrance Exam. Difference Between IIT and JEE One has to go through JEE, to enter an IIT. It is an engineering entrance assessment conducted for admission to various engineering colleges in India. Other than admission to the 23 IITs, the exam is conducted for admission into 31 National Institutes of Technology, 25 Indian Institutes of Information Technology, and various other colleges around the country. Millions of students, who want to enter a good engineering college, give the JEE every year. This makes it one of the most competitive exams in the world. JEE is one of the hardest technical exams in the world. Millions of candidates appear for the exam every year, making it highly competitive. Candidates will require a lot of hard work, practice, focus, and a great strategy to crack both levels of the exam. 

JEE consists of 2 levels – JEE Main and JEE Advanced. 

JEE Main – JEE main offers a chance to get admission to Undergraduate Engineering programs and prestigious institutions like NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, etc. Candidates have to clear the JEE main to appear for JEE advanced. It also comprises a second paper that offers admission to B. Arch and B. Planning Courses.

JEE Advanced – One can appear for the Advanced, by attaining a rank within the top 250,000. To get admission into various undergraduate programs across all the 23 IITs, candidates will have to clear the second level of JEE, which is JEE Advanced.
