TNPSC Group 1 Examination | Important Dates

New changes in the TNPSC examination rule

The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission has released 6 new rules in the exam as well as pattern regulations including Aadhar card been made mandatory for the application. The new rules are made to take action against maloperations done in the previous examinations.

Rule 1 :

TNPSC has made the Aadhar card mandatory for all of the applicants so that no applicant can fill the examination application more than once. No candidates will be allowed to sit for the exams without the Aadhar verification. Along with this the fingerprints of the candidates will be verified as well and will be compared before the examination.

Rule 2 :

The availability of high-tech systems deployed in each of the examination centers to make sure that no cheating or any malpractice happens while the examination.

Rule 3 :

As per the new rules, the candidates will have the provision to opt for 3 districts as their centers for the TNPSC examination. To make the process effortless, the final center will be allotted by the TNPSC board.

Rule 4 :

Once the counselling process is over, the list of the selection is made department wise, vacancy wise, quota wise as well as district wise and will be released by the exam board

Rule 5:   

After the completion of the examination and its related procedures, the candidate’s name list will be released by the TNPSC board.

Rule 6:

The candidates can now access their answer sheets after the examination by paying a specific amount of fees.

TNPSC Group 1 examination | Application Form

According to the official notification by TNPSC, the procedure of online application for TNPSC Group 1 examination 2021 has been started. TNPSC Group 2 examination – Application Process

The candidates can follow the mentioned steps to apply for the TNPSC Group 2 examination

Step 1: Register for the TNPSC group 2 exam

Firstly, the candidates need to register themselves on the TNPSC official website. The One Time Registration is valid for 5 years. The candidates who already have their OTR can skip this step.

For OTR on the official website, the candidates need to fill in all the required details in the online form. After that, the candidate also needs to upload the scanned images of their photograph, educational certificate, and signature. Once all the details are filled in and the documents are uploaded, the candidate needs to pay the OTR fee in online mode.

The Registration Fee for the exam is Rs. 150/-

Step 2: Fill the application form of TNPSC Group 2

Once registered, the candidates can log in to their registered accounts using their OTR I’d and password. After the candidates can fill the TNPSC group 2 application form for the post/service for which they want to apply.

Step 3: TNPSC Group 2 application fee submission

The candidates need to pay for TNPSC group 2 as below mentioned-

1. Preliminary Paper Fee

The Preliminary Examination Fee of INR 100/- is to be paid at the time of the online application.

2. Mains Paper Fee

The Mains Examination Fee of INR 150/- is to be paid by the candidates who qualify the preliminary round and gets selected for the Mains exams

The TNPSC group 2 application fee for the preliminary paper can be paid online via credit card, debit card, net banking, etc as well as offline via State Bank of India, Indian bank, Post office mode. The application fee for the main paper needs to be paid in online mode by only those candidates who get shortlisted for the mains exams.

Step 4: Submission of the application form of TNPSC group 2

The candidates can submit the TNPSC group 2 application form by clicking on submit button. After the successful submission, the candidates can either print or save their application in PDF format.

TNPSC | Exam Pattern

The combined examination 1 of civil services is taken by the TNPSC to appoint the candidates for group 1 vacancies in the state of Tamil Nadu administration. This Examination is also known as TNPSC group 1. The three stages are as follows-

  2. Mains 
  3. Interview

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission

History 

In the year 1923, the government of India established a public service commission to examine the salary structure of the Indian civil service and also the possibility of transferring some of the duties to the provincial services. The commission consists of five Englishmen, and four Indians, along with Viscount Lee of Fareham serving as the chairman. The commission also indicated the rate regarding the Indianisation of the Indian civil service as well as the Indian police. Recruitment procedure of TNPSC 

  • In article 320 (1) of the Indian constitution empowers the commission to examine appointment by the direct recruitment to the state services. The Department of Oral Test deals with the selection of the candidates for the appointment by the direct recruitment for various posts, the selection process consists of both the written examination and the oral test. 
  • The Oral test department also informs the candidates who have been summoned for the Oral Test, the details regarding the date, time, and venue for the Oral Test through individual communication. 
  • The original certificates of the candidates are verified on the same day of the oral test. 
  • For the selection of multiple posts, Post references options are also obtained from the eligible candidates.
  • On the completion of the oral test, the consolidated mark list that is CML consists of the marks that are obtained by the candidates in both examination that is written examination and in the oral test are prepared and after the approval by the commission, it is displayed in the commission’s notice board and is also hosted in the website. 
  • After the selection and the Reserve, the list is prepared and after the commission’s approval, such selection and the reserve list is displayed in the commission’s notice board as well as on the website. The above fact is also published in the leading Tamil and English diaries including the Directorate of information and public relations. 
  • The Approved list is of the selected candidates is then forwarded to the government and the HODs for the issue of the appointment orders. All of the selected candidates are also intimated through the individual communication 
  • The particulars regarding the joining duty of the selected candidates are obtained from the government and HODs’ concerns.
  • The result of the selected candidates is released based on receipt of the documents and receipt as well as acceptance regarding the verification of the reports etc. By the commission and their name and the other particulars are then forwarded to the government as well as to the HOD’s concerned for the issue of appointment orders. The candidates are also informed through individual communication about the same. 
  • The oral test department also addresses the District collector and District vigilance committee and state-level scrutiny committee to the inquiry related to the community, Religion, nativity, claims made by the candidates, if required. In such cases, the particulars and name of the candidates are then forwarded to the Government and to the HODs concerned with a request to appoint the candidates temporarily subject to the receipt and the acceptance of verification report related to the genuineness of their Religion/ Nativity/ Community claim. 
  • The oral department also addresses the Revenue Divisional Officers to do an inquiry related to the ‘Destitute Widow’ claim made by the candidates, if required. 
  • The oral test department also takes the necessary action to publish the details of the candidates that are selected in the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission’s Bulletin 

The other work of the department includes: 

  • The department also implements the Right to Information Act- 2005 in the letters and the spirit by providing the information by the petitioners under the described act, thus this helps in empowering the general public to know the information that they required related to the facts and functioning of the department. 
  • The oral test department also furnishes suitable replies to the petitions received through the honourable Chief Minister’s Special Cell. 
  • The Oral test department also provides clarifications/ views by the Government/ HODs related to the fixation of seniority, alteration of the date of birth, etc. 
  • Candidates are also provided with the various information sought for by then through the various facilities that are made available in the Commission’s office, such as Email, Grievance Redressal Cell, etc. Apart from informing those candidates who can approach the Commission’s office in person.
