NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Saturday conducted the JEE Main 2023 Session 2 Day 2 examination. The Joint Entrance Examination Main exams are being held in two shifts. Shift 1 is conducted from 9 AM to 12 Noon and shift 2 is conducted from 3 PM to 6 PM. In this article, candidates can find out the second-day first shift exam analysis of the JEE Main Session 2 2023. Paper 1 consisted of 90 questions, of which candidates were supposed to attempt 75 questions.
JEE Main Session 2 Paper 1: Question Paper Pattern
The BTech/BE paper consists of three parts – Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. All three parts contain two sections – A and B. Section A has 20 MCQs, all are compulsory. Section B has questions whose answers need to be filled in as numerical values but students had to attempt only 5 questions out of the 10 questions in Section B.

JEE Main 2023 Paper 1: Marking Scheme
In Paper 1, all questions are of four marks, and in case of negative marking, one mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. For every unanswered question, the student will get no marks.
JEE Main April 8 Shift 1 Exam 2023: Overall Difficulty Level
The overall difficulty of JEE Main April 8 Paper 1 – 2023 was easy to moderate. Overall, students found Mathematics as the most time-consuming subject to attempt in today’s exam.
The order of difficulty of different subjects in today’s JEE Main 2023 Shift 1 was assessed by experts as Mathematics > Chemistry > Physics.

JEE Main Paper 1 2023: Subject-wise Difficulty Level
Physics – It was the easiest subject in April 8 Shift 1 exam as it was formula-based.
Chemistry – It contained a mix of easy and moderate questions. The chemistry section was easy to attempt.
Mathematics – It was moderately difficult. However, it was not tough to attempt.

As per Abhishek, a JEE Main candidate, Physics was easy, Chemistry took time to remember formulas whereas calculations in Mathematics consumed most of the time.
As per Nishant, another JEE Main candidate, Maths was lengthy and more questions were asked from PNC & Probability. However, Physics and Chemistry questions were mostly from the NCERT.
