Amritsar: Upholding the spirit of environmental conservation through reduction, reuse, and recycling, a sculpture carved out by the school’s Performing Art team was inaugurated by the school principal Rajiv Kumar Sharma on the school premises on Friday.
The Performing Art team uses recycled material to create a theme-based sculpture every year. The purpose of this tradition is to spread awareness among students on the importance of sustainability and celebrate the beginning of a new academic session, said Rajiv.
“This artifact depicts three standing figures with open arms in abstract form. The open arms reflect a gesture of freedom and timelessness while also highlighting the motto of the school “ said he adding that it had been executed by reusing waste fiber material and old basketballs.
The same set of teachers had won a cash prize of Rs 50 thousand from Municipal Corporation Amritsar for painting the walls of the city depicting meaningful messages through art, said he.
