VISAKHAPATNAM: As many as 1.18 lakh students (63.1%) of the 1.87 lakh applicants cleared the class X supplementary examinations in Andhra Pradesh. The state education department released the results on Friday. As has been the trend, girls outscored their male counterparts by a huge margin in terms of pass per cent even in supplementary exams. While 68.48% girls cleared the exams, it was 59.32% for the boys. Prakasam topped among all the districts with 91.2 pass percent, while Krishna stood at the bottom with 40.56%.
Government examinations director, D Devananda Reddy, said that the exams were conducted between June 2 and 10. “The spot evaluation camps were held in 23 districts on June 13 and 14. While 2.12 lakh pupils registered their names for the examinations, 1.87 lakh students turned up for the exams. Students, who want to opt for recounting, can apply before June 29 through www.cfms.ap.gov.in by paying Rs 500 per subject. For reverification cum supply of answer sheets, the students have to pay Rs 1,000 per subject on www.cfms.ap.gov.in,” said Devananda Reddy.
The examinations director added that the mark lists will be made available within four days on www.bse.ap.gov.in to facilitate easier admission of students intermediate into (10+2) without necessarily waiting for the hard copies.
