The IMD also warned of light to moderate rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall expected to continue over Maharashtra for the next five days and over Gujarat for the next three days. Konkan, Goa, ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra, and Gujarat were likely to experience extremely heavy rainfall on July 19.
Additionally, the IMD predicted rainfall for several states, including Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Rajasthan, during the specified dates.
Mumbai experienced heavy to very heavy rainfall on July 18, recording an average of 88.24 mm. Palghar and Thane districts were on alert until July 20, while Raigad remained on an orange alert until July 21. Authorities advised residents to stay indoors and avoid venturing out.
