NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has commenced the List of Candidates (LOC) form filling for Class 10th, 12th exams 2024 from today, August 18. The board has also issued a notice to students who will appear in the next year CBSE board examinations and affiliated schools directing them to provide the correct and accurate information regarding their subjects and other details in the form.
The deadline for submitting the LOC is September 18, 2023, without late fees and the list will be accepted until September 19, 2023, with late fees of Rs 2000. Schools have received special instructions from the board to accurately input student data in order to prevent any potential future issues for the students.
“Submission of the List of Candidates (LOC) for Class X and XII is the most important activity towards preparation for the conduct of the Board’s Examinations every year. For the session 2023-24, the activity of submission of data of eligible candidates through LOC shall start from 18th August 2023. Submission of LOC shall be done through the e-Pariksha link given on the CBSE website,” reads the official notice.

New schools that have recently been affiliated with CBSE must initially enter their information on the OASIS portal and subsequently proceed to submit the data through the HPE portal. Once these steps have been carried out, they are eligible to provide their LOC data. After the information has been entered and submitted, CBSE will not allow any changes to the declared student sections or their enrollment numbers.
The notice further mentioned, “Submission of the LOC within the schedule is very important. Further, the submission of correct data of the students is highly important to avoid future problems for the students. The schools are therefore requested to plan the timely submission of data of the students. Schools have also to ensure that the filled-in data is correct.”

CBSE also mentioned in its notice that it has been observed in the past that the schools and students are not sincere and careful and thus submit wrong data. Therefore, it shall be noted that only those candidates shall be permitted to appear for the Class 10, and 12 board exams 2024, whose names would be submitted through the online process of LOC submission.
The practical fees for Class 12 is Rs 150 per practical subject per student for schools in India and Nepal and Rs 350 is applicable per practical subject per student for schools in other countries outside India. For the migration certificate, the fee is Rs 350 per student. Visually impaired candidates are exempted from exam fees payment for Class 10th and 12th.
