CHANDIGARH: The district administration of Fatehgarh Sahib in collaboration with the excise and taxation department, organised an awareness program at Desh Bhagat University about the “Bill Leyao Inaam Pao” scheme recently launched by the Punjab government using the “Mera Bill” app.
GS Johal, SDM, Amloh and Jeetpal Kaur, assistant excise commissioner were present. Kaur advised that anybody making a purchase should get a bill from the shopkeeper and upload that bill registered at the government portal; and if the bill is found genuine, then that customer stands a chance to receive a reward. Dr Zora Singh, Chancellor and Dr Tajinder Kaur, Pro Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University were also present on the occasion.
The scheme was aimed at enhancing the compliance under GST and thereby the revenue of the State.
