GATE 2024: The Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru is going to start the online application process for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, GATE 2024 tomorrow, August 24. Interested candidates can check the eligibility criteria, important dates, and registration details here.
GATE 2024 will be conducted by IISc, Bengaluru. The registration window for the test will be open from August 24 to September 29, 2023. Whereas, the extended period of registration will end on October 13, 2023. The GATE 2024 exam will be conducted on February 03, 04, 10 and 11, 2023. The admit card for the exam will be issued on January 03, 2023.
Educational Qualification
Candidates who are currently studying in the 3rd or higher years of any undergraduate degree program or who have completed any government-approved degree program in Engineering/ Technology/ Science/ Architecture/ Humanities are eligible to appear for GATE 2024.

How to apply for GATE 2024?
Step 1. Visit the official website at gate2024.iisc.ac.in
Step 2. On the homepage, click on the GATE 2024 registration link
Step 3. Register yourself and fill out the application form
Step 4. Upload the required documents and pay the registration fee
Step 5. Download and take a printout of the application form for future reference
Documents Required
• Candidate’s photograph
• Candidate’s signature
• Scanned copy of category, if applicable
• Scanned copy of PwD Certificate, if applicable
• Scanned copy of certificate of Dyslexia, if applicable
• Scanned copy of valid photo identity document: Aadhar-UID (preferable)/ Passport/ PAN Card/ Voter ID/ Driving License.
Application Fee
(i) Regular Period: All candidates including foreign nationals are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 1800. Whereas, the application fee for female candidates/ SC/ ST/ PwD is Rs. 900.
(ii) Extended Period: All candidates including foreign nationals have to pay an application fee of Rs. 2300. Whereas, the application fee for female candidates/ SC/ ST/ PwD is Rs. 1400.
