The International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore (IIITB), held the Government-to-Person Connect Workshop recently. It was a two-day in-person workshop for global representatives interested in the implementation of digital G2P payment systems (G2P). The workshop was intended for governments to share learnings and discuss the opportunities and challenges in building and expanding G2P payment programmes. The agenda featured group discussions by key leaders involved with digital public infrastructure.
The workshop focussed on the need for digital public infrastructure (DPI) in G2P processes. G2P is a future for government payments. It will provide delivery over multiple channels and choice.
The event encouraged participation from the audience and facilitated discussions on the current state and future plans for G2P DPI in all the attending countries. The event was attended by 120 participants from 25 countries.
