TIRUPATI: A team from the Indo-Tibetan border police (ITBP) conducted a two-hour training session on yoga in connection with the international yoga day observed at Tirumala on Wednesday.
ITBP inspector Y Venkateswara Reddy along with yoga instructors Dinesh Joshi and Suraj Singh from the 53 battalion of the ITBP located at Kalikiri in Annamayya district, taught yoga asanas and pranayama to the TTD staff, Srivari sevaks, locals and the devotees who took part.
Venkateswara Reddy said the ninth international yoga session had been organized following instructions from the union ministry of Home affairs.
He underlined that practising yoga helps improve one’s health and benefits the family, society and the entire country. Every one should develop the habit of performing Yoga Asanas and meditation at least for 45 minutes a day without fail, the ITBP inspector added.
