NEW DELHI: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has deferred the NEET SS 2023 examination due to the G20 Summit scheduled for September 9 and September 10, 2023.
“In wake of the 18th G20 Summit scheduled to be held on 9th and 10th September 2023 in India and consequent travel restrictions which shall now be in place in Delhi from 8th September 2023 to 10th September 2023, the conduct of NEET-SS 2023, which was announced to be held on 9th and 10th September 2023 across the country, has been deferred,” an official statement read.
The board has recently announced that Srinagar has not been considered as an examination city due to security concerns. Nonetheless, the Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) has put forward a request for an extra examination centre to accommodate candidates from Srinagar.
According to the timetable, the NEET SS admit card 2023 is set to be released on September 4. National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test – Super Specialty serves as the sole eligibility-cum-ranking examination for candidates seeking admission into a range of DM/MCh and DrNB Super Specialty courses.
The question paper for NEET SS 2023 will comprise 60% of questions from the super specialty field and 40% from the related broad specialty. Applicants will be required to respond to a total of 150 questions within a duration of two and a half hours.
