Bhubaneswar: The higher education department on Thursday issued show cause notices to nine higher education institutions including Kalahandi University, Bhawanipatna for not attending a training programme on the e-admission process for admission into undergraduate (UG) courses under Student Academic Management System (SAMS) for the academic session 2023-24.
A training programme for nodal colleges and for some selected SAMS resource centres (SRCs) was scheduled on Tuesday and Wednesday at the auditorium hall of the Rama Devi Women’s University. A total of 30 nodal colleges and 70 SRCs were asked to participate in the workshop.
However, 91 out of 100 higher education institutions (HEIs) have successfully attended the training programme, except your institution. The training programme’s goal was to educate the HEIs about the newly adopted admission process in order to ensure a smooth and timely implementation of UG courses under SAMS for the academic session 2023-24.
“You are requested to submit the reason for the absence of the admission-in-charge and the data entry operator of your institution for the said training programme on or before May 29 for further course of action,” said Rajata Kumar Mansingh, deputy director of performance tracking cell (PTC), higher education department.
The eight-degree colleges were Upendra Nath College at Soro, Reamal Degree College in Deogarh district, Sriram College at Kasinagar in Gajapati district, KSUB College at Bhanjanagar in Ganjam district, Government Science College at Chhatrapur in Ganjam district, Basic Science and Humanities College at Bhubaneswar, Biju Patnaik College of Education at Govindapali in Malkangiri district and Basudev Godabari College at Kesaibahal in Sambalpur district.
