CHENNAI: Class XI students registered 90.93% pass in the Tamil Nadu state board exams. Of 7,76,844 candidates appeared for the exam, 7,06,413 cleared (90.93%) it. It is a marginal increase of 0.8% compared to previous year.
The pass percentage of girls is 7.37% more compared to boys. Of 4,15,389 girls who appeared for the exam, 3,91,968 cleared it. The pass percentage is 94.36%. Of 3,61, 454 boys who appeared for the exam, 3,14,444 cleared it. The pass percentage is 86.99%
Among the subjects, computer science had highest pass percentage of 99.25%.
In accountancy a maximum of 995 students scored full marks.
Class X, XI students can get their temporary marksheets from their respective schools from May 25 onwards, the DGE announced in a release.
Supplementary exams will be held from June 27. Students can apply for the exams from May 23 to 27.
