Telangana is one of the southern most state of India. It is situated in the centre-south of the Indian peninsula on the high Deccan plateau. Telangana was officially formed as a separate state on June 2, 2014. It is located by the River Godavari, Nizamabad which is one of the major city situated in the state of Telangana. The total number of districts in Telangana has increased from 10-31. There are 31 districts in the state of Telangana.

Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation(TSTDC) is the state government agency which promotes tourism in Telangana. It is one of the oldest mosque in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It is one of the largest masjid in India. Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah, the fifth ruler of the Qutb Shahi dynasty. The bricks are made from the soil brought from Mecca, the holiest site of Islam. On 18 May 2007, a bomb exploded inside this Mecca Masjid at the time of prayers on Friday. It killed at least thirteen peoples and injured dozens of them. It is a good and a peaceful place for prayers and it has many shopping complex near the masjid. Mecca Masjid is located adjacent to charminar which is the heart of old city and it can be easily accessible by road from various parts of Hyderabad. It has a length of 1550 metres( 5085 feet) with a total capacity of 405(tmcft). This dam provides irrigation facilities to the districts and areas like Nalgonda, Krishna, West Godavari, Suryapet, Prakasam, etc., along with the hydro electricity irrigation. It is the second biggest water reservoir in India. Boat timings to reach Nagarjuna konda is from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm except on Fridays.
