The National Board of Examinations administers the National Eligibility-cum-Admission Test-Post Graduate (NEET-PG), a competitive entrance examination (NBE). The Government of India’s Ministry of Health and Family Welfare formed the independent NBE in 1975.
Under the Delhi Society Registration Act, it was founded as a Society to bring postgraduate medical education and examination in India into compliance. According to Section (10) of the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956, the eligibility-plus-ranking test NEET-PG is required as the single admission examination for a variety of MD/MS and PG Diploma Programs.
For admission to MD/MS and PG diploma programs provided at several governments, private, Deemed/Central, ESIC, and AFMS medical institutes across India, NEET PG is a computer-based entrance exam. Through NEET, students can enroll in medical schools.
The National Board of Education (NBE) administers this exam on a national level once a year for admission to different medical colleges around the country. This exam should be known to all medical graduates who intend to enroll in PG programs at the top medical institutions. To sit for the national-level entrance test, all MBBS graduates must register on the NBA’s official website.
