CHANDIGARH: Dr Zora Singh, Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University, has been conferred with honorary DLitt degree in appreciation and recognition of his contribution in the field of education and for his sense of social responsibility.
He was conferred the degree by Techno India University, West Bengal at its convocation organized at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre.
Ratan Tata, Sourav Ganguly, Sushmita Sen were also awarded Doctor of Letters degree among other personalities from various fields like Bollywood, sports, businessmen, and industrialists.
Dr Zora Singh said that Desh Bhagat University believes in imparting a holistic education to future generations and emphasizes on the importance of etiquette, discipline and challenging students to take responsibility for their communities, society and the nation.
He thanked Techno India University, West Bengal for acknowledging his efforts.
