About Nipper Jee 2020
National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) conducts Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) every year in computer-based examination for admissions to post graduate and PhD programmes in pharmacy. The medium of exam is english which is conducted for two hours and there are a total of 200 multiple choice questions which are subject to negative marking. A correct response adds 1 mark and an incorrect one deducts 0.25. The participating Institutes include NIPER S.A.S Nagar(Mohali), NIPER Raebareli, NIPER Kolkata, NIPER Ahmedabad offering around 234 seats. Candidates can choose out of various exam centres across India and once opted, there is no scope for changing the same.

NIPER JEE eligibility criteria lays down the minimum educational qualification which the candidate must meet to be eligible toappear in the entrance exam for the master’s programmes which are offered at different institutes. According to the NIPER JEE eligibility criteria, candidates must score the minimum marks in the qualifying exam so that they can take the entrance test.
Eligibility Criteria of NIPER JEE
The following percentage of marks need to be scored or CGPA should be scored by the candidates:

Basis for Calculation of percentage of marks and CGPA
According to the NIPER JEE eligibility criteria, the basis for the calculation of marks in the qualifying exam are:
• Minimum percentage of marks is determined on the basis of rules and regulations that have been fixed by the university or the institution concerned
• CGPA is also based on the norms that have been laid down by the university or the institution concerned
• If the university or the institution has not laid down any rule for determining the CGPA, then in that case, CGPA scored by the candidate for all the years of the qualifying degree is taken into account.
GPAT, NET, GATE Score Card
The score card of GATE, NET and GPAT is an essential document which the candidates must bring with them at the time of interview and group discussion. GPAT, GATE and NET qualification is a compulsory qualification for all the programmes except for the candidates who belong to following category.

• Sponsored candidate from public/private sector undertaking, Govt. departments and research and development organizations

GPAT cutoff is taken as the screening process for admission to various Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharmacy) programmes. NIPER JEE result is declared a few days after the date of exam. The result of NIPER JEE is announced in online mode. NIPER JEE result is released in the form of merit list. It is based on the performance of the candidate in the entrance exam. All the candidates who qualify in NIPER JEE, have to participate in the counselling wherein they are awarded the institute based on the NIPER JEE result. A separate result is declared containing list of candidates who clear the exam as well the stages of counselling (group discussion and/ or interview).

Mode of Counselling: Offline
Candidates who seek admission in M.S (Pharm), M.Pharm and M.Tech (Pharm) programmes, and cleare the entrance exam have to participate in person at NIPER JEE counselling. At the time of NIPER counselling, candidates have to get with them the requisite fee as well as the documents that are listed below.
All the candidates seeking admission in M.B.A. (Pharm.) programme in NIPER, Hyderabad and S.A.S Nagar have to participate in the group discussion and interview. They must also carry with them all the necessary documents with them at the time of group discussion and interview. Such candidates have to pay the requisite fee if their name figures in the final merit list. The final merit list of such candidates is determined on the basis of the combined merit that they get in the entrance examination, group discussion and interview.
