SNAP 2019 Registration and Application form can be filled up in four steps:

  • Step-1: Register as New User & Fill in Personal Details
  • Step-2: Make Payment of Rs.1750/- online or by DD
  • Step-3: Register for MBA programmes of preferred Symbiosis Institutes
  • Step-4: Make Payment for Symbiosis MBA Programmes Application Fee

How to Complete the SNAP Registration

Step-1 (Part 1): Register as New User

  • Open SNAP 2019 Website & Click on How to Register
  • On lower Right Hand side of the page, click on Questions/Online Chat and fill in your name etc. and ask for the SNAP Registration Link which you will get instantly
  • Go to the SNAP 2019 Registration Link given below on the image & Click on Register as New User

Step-1 (Part 2): Fill in Personal Details

  • Registration form first page is open before you
  • Fill your Personal details, date of Birth, Mobile Number, Email ID, category, 3 preferred test cities in order of preference from drop down menu
  • No Candidate with Date of Birth before 1970 can Register and Apply for SNAP 2019
  • Upload the scanned Photo of not more than 3 months old in .jpg, .jpeg, .png format of the size between 10 KB and 100 KB  
  • You will get OTP on your Mobile and Email. Use it in 10 Minutes  
  • You will also get the SNAP ID & Password on your Mail which you should use in subsequent steps

Step-2: Make Payment of SNAP 2019 Exam Fee

  • The next step is to login with your SNAP ID and Password and enter the Captcha
  • When you login with your SNAP Password, you will be asked to change your password
  • Change password. The password should be only alpha numeric. No special characters should be used.
  • Instantly the SNAP exam fee payment page opens before you
  • Read Payment Instructions
  • You can make payment of SNAP 2019 Fee of Rs.1750/- online or by Demand Draft
  • After making Payment you will be allowed to go to next step.

Step-3: Register for MBA programmes of preferred Symbiosis Institutes

  • You are required to register and apply specifically for the MBA programmes of Symbiosis Institutes
  • Complete the Application form with all the academics, address, preferred MBA programmes

Step-4: Make Payment of Institute Level MBA Programmes Application Fee

  • The Application Fee for each MBA programme of Each Symbiosis Institute is Rs.1000/-
  • If you choose 5 MBA programmes, you must pay Rs.5000/-
  • Payment can be made online or by Bank DD
  • The Institute Programme Application Fee Payment is non-refundable

  • Please note that the SNAP 2019 test will be computer based test.
  • SNAP Test duration is of 120 minutes.
  • Date: 15 December 2019; Time: 14.00 – 16.00 hours.
  • SNAP Test is an objective test. Each question has four responses (Only for Normal Questions). Candidate should choose an appropriate response.
  • Each wrong answer attracts 25% negative marks for Normal Questions and for Special Questions also.
  • In Quantitative Section for special questions, which will have blanks where answers should be entered by the candidate using the virtual keyboard.

Candidates appearing for final year examinations can also apply, but their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes). Note : Admission of such candidate will be provisional and will be cancelled in the event of non-fulfillment of the above stated criteria.

Programmes which require specific discipline / subject specialisation need to be checked for eligibility as given by the respective Institute.

A candidate who has completed qualifying degree from any Foreign University must obtain an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). All foreign degrees / qualifications need to be verified from AIU by the candidate before seeking admission to any programme of SIU.

Important : It is the responsibility of the candidate to ascertain whether s/he possesses the requisite qualifications for admission. Having been admitted provisionally does not mean acceptance of eligibility. Final eligibility for admission will be decided by Symbiosis International (Deemed University).

Master of Business Administration

Candidate should be a graduate from any recognised University / Institution of National Importance with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade at graduation level. Defence category candidates should be son/ daughter/ spouse of Defence personnel. Candidates appearing for final year examinations can also apply, but their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying examination.

Important: It is the responsibility of the Candidates to ascertain whether they possess the requisite qualifications for admission. Having been admitted provisionally does not mean acceptance of eligibility. Final eligibility for admission will be decided by Symbiosis International (Deemed University).
Reservation: (As per MoU with Ministry of Defence/ As per the University norms) Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes/ Differently Abled/ Kashmiri Migrants reservation will not be applicable to the candidates seeking admission to MBA programme of SIMS.

MBA (Quantitative Finance)

Graduate from any recognized University/Institution of National Importance with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes).

The students must have studied Mathematics/Statistics during

Class XII.

RESERVATION POLICY OF SIU

Reservation Policy

Following will be the reservation policy for admission to any programme of Institutes of SIU (except Symbiosis Institutes of Management Studies, which has separate policy #)

a. Within Sanctioned Intake

  • Scheduled Caste (SC) : 15%
  • Scheduled Tribes (ST) : 7.5%
  • Differently Abled : 3%
  • Nagpur Domiciled : 25% (applicable only for SIBM, Nagpur)
  • Children/wards of Defence Personnel : 5% (applicable only for following Programmes of the Institute)

Note –
Kindly note that caste certificates issued only for respective state govt. benefits will not be accepted. Caste certificates, if issued in vernacular, will need to be supported by a certified English translation, issued by a competent authority.

The definition for Nagpur Domicile is:

The meaning of ‘Nagpur Domiciled’ candidate, for admission to the above-mentioned Institute only, is a person, who is domiciled in Nagpur for a period of five years as on the date of commencement of the academic year, and who has graduated from or is appearing for the qualifying examination of Nagpur University before admission to the programme. * The definition for Defence Personnel is: The term Defence Personnel would mean only those serving / retired Defence personnel from Army, Navy, Air Force. Retired defence personnel are those who fall in the category of ex-servicemen as laid down in Ministry of Defence letter no 36035/5/85- Estt (SCT) dated 14 April 1987. It includes defence personnel who died while in service or after retirement.

Note:- A candidate who is interested to apply under the category “Children / Wards of Defence Personnel” for any of the above mentioned programme(s), should select the category “Children / Wards of Defence Personnel” for each programme separately.

b. Over & Above Intake

  • Kashmiri Migrants : 2 seats per programme
  • International Candidates : 15%

A candidate applying under any of the reserved category (Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribes / Differently Abled / Kashmiri Migrants) are mandatorily required to submit relevant document issued by competent authority. Any participation at any stage of admission process by such candidate is purely provisional and always subject verification and authentication of such relevant document.

In case a candidate falls under more than one of the above categories (eg. Scheduled Caste as well as Differently Abled or any other combination), he would need to select any one Category (i.e. Either Scheduled Caste OR Differently Abled in the case of example mentioned above) at the time of filling up the SNAP registration form. The category selected by the candidate at the time of filling the registration form will be considered to be his category for the entire admission process and his benefits and entitlements shall be according to such selected category. He will not be able to claim benefit under the other category/s at any stage of admission on any account whatsoever.

Candidates belonging to the reserved categories should note the eligibility requirements carefully before applying. While it is the endeavour of SIU that candidates belonging to SC/ST/DA categories join the programme(s) as per the SIU norms, they have to meet the minimum eligibility criteria. A certain minimum level of performance in SNAP test is required to be considered for the subsequent admission process.

Please also note that if any information provided by the candidate in respect of his category is found to be incorrect, the University shall have right to cancel the candidature of such candidate at any stage of the admission process.

* Differently Abled Category (DAC) at SIU

In compliance to Govt. Directives on disability guidelines issued by the office of the Chief Commissioner for persons with disabilities vide Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment New Delhi notification no. 16-18/97 on dated 01st June 2001 and University Grants Commission Notification No. F.6-1/2006 (CPP-II/SCT) dated 30/09/2009, SIU has made provision of reserving 3% seats for Differently Abled Category (DAC) students in all the Institutes of SIU.

The types of disabilities covered are:-

a) Vision Impairment

b) Hearing Impairment

c) Locomotors Disabilities

d) Mental Retardation

e) Multiple Disabilities

f) Dyslexia

All candidates claiming admission under DAC will be provisionally admitted under the said category. Thereafter, the candidate will be required to obtain an ‘Authentication Certificate’ from Symbiosis Centre of Health Care (SCHC) within one month of commencement of the programme. SCHC will check validity of documents produced by the candidates and verify the continued existence and extent of the disability.

# For Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies (SIMS): As per MoU with Ministry of Defence clause no. 13 sub clause (d) The term Defence Personnel would mean only those serving / retired Defence Personnel from the Army, Navy and Air Force who fall in the category of ex-serviceman as laid down vide Ministry of Defence Letter no. 36034/5/85 -Estt (SCT) dated 14th April, 1987.

Reservation of Seats within the intake is:
