What is IIT JEE? The Indian Institutes of Technology are one of the most prestigious institutes in India, and the best to offer education in engineering and technological education. IIT is famous for creating the best scientists, engineers, and technologists. IITians are known to occupy key positions all around the world. Candidates have to give the IIT joint entrance exam to get into The Indian Institute of Technologies. It is conducted by The Joint Seat Allocation Authority for selecting candidates for admission in 23 IITs, 31 National Institutes of Technology, 25 Indian Institutes of Information Technology, and other Government Funded Technical Institutes. It is a national-level engineering entrance exam that consists of two levels – JEE Main and JEE advanced.
JEE Main – Candidates have to clear the JEE main to appear for JEE advanced. JEE main also offers a chance to get admission to Undergraduate Engineering programs and prestigious institutions like NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, etc. It also comprises a second paper that offers admission to B. Arch and B. Planning Courses. Candidates should have at least 75% marks in the 12th Board Exams. The limit is 65% for SC-ST.
JEE Advanced – Now, to get admission into various undergraduate programs across all the 23 IITs, candidates will have to clear the second level of JEE, which is JEE Advanced. One can appear for the Advanced, by attaining a rank within the top 250,000.
